What are the ages of the children you serve?

The ranch serves children up to age 18 with private care for younger children.

What kind of children does the Ranch benefit?

Those who need respite care and/or behaviour modification.

Those children needing a referral for new adoptive placements.

Children who need help transitioning into adult life or vocational school.

When do you take applications?

Applications are processed year round.

Is there a waiting list?

Sometimes, because we have limited space available in our program.

How long does it take to process an application?

It could happen quickly depending on how long it takes you to fill out the application. Usually 3 days to a week.

Do all the children on the ranch attend school?

Yes, school attendance is mandatory. We operate our own school under the supervision of our district.

Do all the children on the ranch work?

Yes, all school age children help with daily living and ranch chores.

What is your religious affiliation?

We are non denominational Christians and respect those of all faiths.

Is there an airport near the ranch?

Yes, Glacier International Airport, Kalispell, Montana. (FCA)

Will the ranch dispense medications to my child?

We have licensed nurses who can dispense medications as prescribed by the child's family physician.

What kinds of therapy are provided?

We have a full time licensed therapist who comes to the ranch one or two days per week. She contracts privately with the child's family should they desire for their child to have individual therapy or counseling. These financial arrangements are between the therapist and the child's family, and the charges are not included in your child's tuition. Students often meet and have counseling sessions with our staff. Our staff meets regularly with all the students once per week for a staff and student meeting. Smaller groups meet at other times to cover a variety of subjects. our staff is ready to meet and talk with students at any time the need or desire arises. Some of our best talks happen when out on the trail, in the barn or garden. We allow for spontaneity rather than requiring a scheduled session unless a serious issue arises, and then we request a conference with the student and our staff.
